Same account, 4% in one checker and 12% in another. Which number goes in the report?

I was about to send the higher one and then realised I couldn’t explain either calculation. Both tools call it engagement rate. Am I missing a standard definition here?

Look for the denominator first. Interactions divided by followers and interactions divided by views answer different questions. Also check whether they average post rates or divide totals.

Found it. One uses followers. I’m putting the formula next to the number instead of pretending these are comparable.
