Yesterday’s post looks terrible next to last week’s. Obviously. Yet here’s my dashboard.

Add post age. Then compare at a shared checkpoint when you actually have those snapshots. A seven-day-old post and a twelve-hour-old post haven’t had the same opportunity.

I’d also keep the outlier visible. Sometimes people fix this by removing the only interesting post from the report. Study it, just don’t promise to reproduce it.
